Atlantic City is ready to welcome visitors for the summer season. It had a reputation problem for a while, but something has shifted this year. The city has nearly finished repaving Atlantic and Pacific Avenues, and the Boardwalk has seen an investment of $26 million ahead of the summer tourism season.
Expanded casino floors and high-limit gaming areas
Ocean Casino Resort has been expanding its gaming floor with new slot machines and plans to introduce more throughout 2026. Throughout the summer, it will have gaming promotions and major giveaways.
Golden Nugget is introducing property-wide upgrades that include new gaming options and updated technology. A dedicated slot lounge features Aristocrat titles such as Lightning Link. The casino floor has 17 new slot machines featuring titles like Dragon Link, which is also available in a high-limit room. All the slot machines have new iView displays so guests can check comp balances and tier credits.
In Atlantic City, playing online casino games is also legal at a New Jersey online casino, and this means that visitors can even play them while sitting on the beach. Evolution will open a 60,000 sq. ft. gaming studio at the Showboat Resort in Atlantic City due to its expanding online casino operations.
New and re-imagined restaurants
The dining scene in Atlantic City continues to evolve. You can eat at one of the new and re-imagined restaurants that feature celebrity chefs and a wide range of cuisine.
The Sitar restaurant at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is newly launched and offers diverse Indian cuisine. The Balcony and The Terrace at Hard Rock are other new scenic outdoor venues offering elevated casual dining.
The B Bar in the center of the gaming floor at Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa has been reimagined. It offers video poker and live entertainment amidst décor inspired by Italian landscapes.
Inside Atlantic City’s Orange Loop, a creative and culinary hub just steps away from the Boardwalk, is the Iron Room. It has recently reopened, bringing back its popular gastropub fare and vast beverage menu.
New hotels, hotel rooms and luxury suites
You can enhance your travel experience by staying in one of the newly renovated hotel rooms or luxury suites at the Golden Nugget, which has completed the first phase of the multi-million dollar renovation project. Ocean Casino has 1,860 newly renovated guest rooms and suites, and the Solana Tower at Tropicana Atlantic City has also been refurbished.
The Seahaus Hotel is a new Marriott Tribute Portfolio hotel now open on the Boardwalk and the Nobu Hotel has finally opened inside Caesars.
Entertainment venues
Visitors will experience a great lineup of live entertainment for the summer at venues such as Ocean Casino Resort. Hard Rock is putting $40 million towards live entertainment in 2026. Boardwalk Hall hosts the type of headliners that can fill arenas.
Ocean’s 18 Mini Golf & Bar is a new multi-million-dollar entertainment venue that features hologram technology. It spans 8,000 ft across two stories and offers a state-of-the-art mini-golfing experience for all ages.
The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, together with the partner, Big Night Live, has been transforming the Premier Nightclub into a new 18,000 sq ft live entertainment venue.
Beach clubs
Beach replenishment and shoreline enhancement are benefiting North Beach casino properties and improving the beach experience for visitors. New Jersey may not be on the list of the hottest US states, but visitors love the beaches in Atlantic City.
HQ2 Beach Club may not be new, but it continues to offer main pool parties, daybeds, VIP sections, and private pool bungalows this summer.
Caesars Beach Club is now open in front of Caesars Atlantic City. It has lounge-style dining, VIP cabanas, and a rooftop deck with a DJ booth.
Goldfish Beach Club at 2424 Boardwalk is another new ocean-front venue that operates as a beach club and entertainment venue.
On the north end of the boardwalk is a new beach concept designed to bypass tidal issues. The Garden Pier Beach Club has turf, lounge chairs and cabanas above the sand.
The Resorts Casino Hotel has completed its expansion of the LandShark Bar & Grill, which now features an expanded deck, private cabanas, hammocks, fire pits and daily live entertainment.
